Christina DiMeo enrolled at The Atelier seeking a solid academic training on which to build her painting career. She began part-time classes in 2007. Additionally, she studied full-time at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy and holds two degrees from the University of Minnesota in Graphic Design and Studio Arts.

 

DiMeo’s work has been displayed at several local venues including Minneapolis Institute of Arts Foot in the Door 2014 show (2010). She has three paintings in the permanent collection of the University of Minnesota, currently on display at the Coffman Student Union. DiMeo’s charcoal work was included in the Artist for Artists Project 2014 Winners’ Catalog.

 

DiMeo is excited to be part of the revival and celebration of realism in the contemporary art world. She feels privileged for the opportunity to share her knowledge with fellow artists and students.
